AWS Data Engineer (IoT & Data)

We are looking for versatile Python developers, to work on our IoT and Data Platforms projects, so depending on the project, we work with scripts and small programs for streaming processing, assembling APIs and backends with Django and Fast API, or processing data with Spark and other technologies.

You will probably learn a lot of things, we use (and your knowledge will be valuable) with AWS IoT suite, MQTT, Kafka, Lambda, DynamoDB, Relational DB, Redshift, S3, Glue, Airflow… The only thing that matters to us is that you are passionate about Python, data and caching.

Roles and responsibilities

Your role will focus on the following key areas:

Data engineering: Development and optimization of ETL/ELT processes using PySpark.
Technical consulting: Requirements gathering, client liaison, and design of customized solutions.
Cloud development: Implementation of container-based services and serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Fargate).
Architecture: Integration and orchestration of AWS services to build complex and scalable data platforms.

Professional competencies

Beyond the technical stack, we prioritize your ability to adapt and continuously learn over absolute mastery of all tools.

Essential requirements:

More than 3 years of experience in development with Python and Spark.
Solid knowledge of SQL, data design, and modeling.
Experience building data processing pipelines.
Proficiency in key AWS services: Glue, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Step Functions.

The following will be considered a plus:

Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Terragrunt.
Knowledge of orchestration with Airflow.
Proficiency in Kafka for data streaming.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
