We are pleased to announce that Galeo will participate as a speaker at the Kafka Summit 2021.
We look forward to seeing you all there to share our knowledge and ideas on the “EDA Governance Model: a multicloud approach based on GitOps”.
Kafka Summit is the premier event for developers, architects, data engineers, development professionals and anyone else who wants to learn about data flow. It brings together the Apache Kafka community to share best practices, learn how to build next-generation systems and discuss the future of streaming technologies.
EDA Governance Model: a multicloud approach based on GitOps
The first question that arises when starting a new EDA project is how to govern the system. A whole ecosystem of applications, backends, events and APIs must coexist under the same architecture. The team of architects must balance the assurance of reliability, consistency and security of the system with the ability of the development team to create new applications in an agile manner. In this paper, we present a general governance framework that we have designed based on our experience with one of the largest insurance companies in Spain. Our framework is based on the catalog and cataloging process; the deployment and provisioning process; and the operating and exploitation model. The main engine of the framework is the catalog and a catalog application approach governs the entire system. The implementation of the catalog is based on GitOps practices. Along with this catalog, we have planned an event portal (as a user interface) and a set of hands-on labs to help users get trained in the new EDA architecture.
