Data Engineer Azure

At GALEO, we are looking to incorporate an Azure Data Engineer to participate in the design, development, and evolution of our data platforms and IoT initiatives.

You will work in modern cloud environments, designing scalable and resilient data architectures, with a special focus on batch and streaming processing using Spark, optimizing data pipelines for advanced analytics and production use cases.

All that matters to us is that you are passionate about Python, data, and “tinkering” (cacharrereo). 100% of the GALEO team uses Python in their daily lives; it is already part of the common stack for data engineers, data scientists, IoT engineers, systems, web developers…

What you will do on a daily basis

• Python development for real-time projects.
• Experience in developing services on Azure.
• Ability to integrate multiple Azure services and build complex platforms.
• Use of tools such as Databricks, Data Factory, Purview, Fabric, SQL, and PySpark.

Key Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience developing in Python.
• Cloud: Azure.
• Processing: Spark, Databricks.
• Databases: SQL, NoSQL.
• Storage: Data Lake.
• Orchestration: Data Factory.

Bonus Points If

• Experience with other Azure tools such as Purview and Fabric.
• Streaming tools like Azure Event Hub / IoT Hub.
• Knowledge of Docker.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience working with IoT platforms or streaming data.
• Knowledge of other programming and scripting languages.
